Little Red Wagon

We'd talked about getting Naomi a wagon, then when we saw how much fun she had with the one at Tammi's last week we definitely couldn't say no. She loves it! She saw Sam putting it together and knew right away what it was, and boy was she excited. She has so much fun riding in it, and Sam has lots of fun pulling her. We got a canopy that clips on for sunny days. Sam will usually put a pillow in it so she has a soft place to sit (or fall asleep). She's riding in style!

Daddy's Girl

The other night, Naomi wanted to sit on the couch with Dad to watch TV. (He was playing video games.) She insisted on having a pillow on her lap too. She's totally a Daddy's girl!

I was downloading photos and discovered that my mom had gotten some video of Naomi walking between her and Laura.



Naomi resisted walking for a long time after she was able to. Now she's finally started to do it regularly, although she'll still frequently walk on her knees, or even crawl on occasion. And most of the time when she wants to go somewhere she'll grab for me and insist on a finger to hold ("fing," she says), but that's more to make me go with her than because she needs the help walking.

She gets excited and says "steps!" while she's walking. Very cute!

I've been feeling the urge to scrapbook, so have started working on Naomi's baby book. (The part of me that lives in fantasy world thinks there's a chance I'll have her's done before the new baby's born. Ha!) Obviously, the first step is to narrow down the hundreds of photos we've taken into the relative few that will go in this album. I've had so much fun looking back through her first year. Taming the Wild

One of Sam's ambitions for the summer is to tame the wild that is our backyard. He started this weekend with cutting all the low branches from the trees.
